We raise money for 4 charities based in the UK and abroad, tackling issues of homelessness, education, child soldiers and street children.

The Singers have, from the choir’s foundation in 1977, been active in major charitable enterprises. For many years, the group’s support at the Emmaus Carol Concerts & subsequent Carols for a Choral Future events at the Minster have assisted and assist in raising much needed funds for both causes.
A group of 16/17 year olds from Oakham will be visiting Calcutta on July 22nd for 3 weeks. The group will be under the leadership & care of Barney & Lucille operating alongside BMS. They will be interacting with local charities & rural communities to provide practical help and forge relationships.

Mawddach Rotary club aim to raise funds for a variety of good causes. Presently we urgently need funds for Shelterboxes to give relief to those who have lost their homes in the Philipines and Sardinia. Whilst this is an urgent need, we also continue to raise monies for needy causes in our area.
.Empower supports community, medical and educational projects in rural Gambia to enhance the lives of women and children. We do this by linking with the communities and organisations working in the regions to provide resources and training. We also run sponsorship programmes and volunteer visits.
Community Action for Locally Managing Stress (CALMS) CALMS mission is “To provide educative, preventative and rehabilitative programmes and services that empower individuals and organizations to recognize, reduce and manage stress effectively”. POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER - STRESS - ANXIETY - DEPRESSION - SUICIDAL IMPULSES - FEELINGS OF HOPELESSNESS Due to COVID 19, the demand for the services CALMS provides has increased dramatically. CALMS has seen a significant increase in stress calls and because of this the need for their services in our town has never been more valuable. A damaging effect of COVID 19 means that much needed funds have been delayed indefinitely, therefore we are looking to raise money so these mental health programmes keep running. Vital services and programmes provided: - Stress management - Relaxation therapy - One to one support - Befriending - Social therapy - Complementary therapies/approaches - Counselling - Listening- ear, direct - Mental Health Support Line
