The mission of Camp UKANDU is to bring joy and hope to children living with cancer, their siblings, and their families through “outrageously fun” camp experiences. We recognize that cancer impacts the entire family and we aim to provide parents and caregivers a respite from the physical, emotional and financial toll childhood cancer poses to families.
Our vision is a community where all young people thrive physically, emotionally, and scholastically. To bring that vision into reality, our mission is to integrate athletic coaching, training and team sports with family life and academic mentorship. We provide the necessary support so that all young athletes enjoy basketball, stay fit, and take care of their minds and bodies. We also encourage intellectual curiosity, and appreciation for the value of family and the gifts of community.
To serve people living with or at risk for HIV with dignity and respect.
Our mission is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by producing audio recordings of translated Scriptures in hundreds of languages and making these recordings accessible in the form of Talking Bibles for millions of people around the world who cannot read.
The Arthur Wharton Foundation was created to raise awareness of Arthur Wharton’s pioneering and trailblazing legacy in football, athletics and other sports. We also promote diversity and fight against racism in sport and beyond, using Arthur's story to inspire, motivate and educate.
