Neuromuscular conditions are unpredictable. They can affect anyone even though there is no family history. This means all families are potentially threatened by these severe and incurable conditions. BBA supports one to one, mutually enriching friendships for adults and young people with an intellectual disability (ID). We match a person with an ID with another person of similar age, who does not have a disability. The Buddy Pair then goes out into the community together and engages in activities like going to the movies.
