(UK, 1161337) Browse eventsSLOW - Surviving the Loss of your World - is a London based charity run by bereaved parents providing support for bereaved parents and their surviving children. SLOW supports bereaved parents and their children through daily life with the aim of promoting health and well being. The SLOW support groups meet regularly in London and are open to all who have suffered the devastating loss of a child. The group aims to break down the social isolation experienced by parents, create new bonds and connections. SLOW also works with bereaved children so they can meet each other to build resilience and confidence by providing a safe space to explore feelings. Members say our support groups are a lifeline, giving them the chance to connect and share their devastating experiences with other bereaved parents. Through creative expression and team building games, the children that attend the siblings workshops are able to assert their own unique place in their families despite the challenges they have faced after the death of their sibling.

To honour babies who have died, been stillborn or miscarried. To help gather timeless memories. It wasn’t so long ago that when a baby died it was taken away, no touch, no cuddles, no time together............no memories. SiMBA is about memories. We help you to gather precious items for your Memory Box which we provide. We understand the importance of spending time with your baby in our Family Room. Adding a leaf on a Tree of Tranquillity shows that you are not alone in your loss, and acts as a place to remember and reflect. Our aim is to supply the precious Memory Boxes to every Maternity Unit in who wants them; to provide a Family room in every Maternity Unit where possible and to provide a Tree of Tranquillity in every Maternity district as a symbol of remembrance to babies and to show parents that they are not alone. Our web site provides information and latest charity news including the Maternity Units we supply Memory Boxes to; what hospitals have a Family Room and where the locations for the Tree of Tranquillity’s are and where we are next planning to have them. To request a leaf for a Tree of Tranquillity please refer to the contact us page of our webs site or email your name, address and Tree that you would like a leaf for to [email protected] The web site also has information on recent fundraising events by the SiMBA Team and our supporters.
