Tauraroa Area School is situated in a rural area about 25km SW of Whangarei. The school is about four kilometres from the village of Maungakaramea. Most of the 500+ students travel to school by bus.
TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM LEUKAEMIA AND CANCER BY THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION IN THE FORM OF A CARAVAN AT THE HAVEN SITE IN MABLETHORPE, SO THAT CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES CAN TAKE A HOLIDAY, WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF SUCH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Through the support of former patients and their relatives, donors and the local community, we fundraise to finance patient care initiatives which contribute enormously to the quality of care and support Beaumont Hospital’s staff are able to provide.
