The hospital has a national and international reputation and is very much regarded as a Centre of Excellence. The research work is carried out by the Institute of Orthopaedics, the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital and the School of Postgraduate Medicine of Keele University, which all work in close collaboration. The research work results in new and improved methods of treatment as well as additions to medical knowledge. Raising funds in the present economic climate is exceptionally difficult and all monies received will be much appreciated.
