YTD Raised: £7,341.96Maia Mouse Foundation (1170696) was set up by Joseph and Gemma Baum after losing their beloved daughter, Maia Olivia on 20th May 2016. Maia lost her battle with a complex life limiting condition at the age of eleven months and her parents decided almost immediately that they would help other families in situations similar to their own. Recognising that living with a child with a life limiting condition puts an enormous strain on the family, Maia’s parents decided they would fundraise and provide financial support, by way of grants, to give families the opportunity to make special memories with their children. The team of trustees aim to actively pursue fundraising opportunities to generate the funds required to support the charity's objectives, however also rely on supporters to carry out fundraising opportunities and to support the charity. “After the devastating news of Maia’s diagnosis, we made the decision to make the most of the time we had left with our beautiful girl. There was so much that our little girl would never get to do so we started by writing a list of all the things that we really wanted her to experience, known as the ‘Adventures of Maia Olivia’. The photographs we took and the memories we made in those months will truly last a lifetime. The foundation for our charity is to help families to create special memories just like we did. If we can do that for even just one family, the whole thing will be a resounding success. Joe & Gemma x”
