We are very proud of Weston School, our students and the programmes that we offer. Being a full primary we enjoy a real family atmosphere, and utilise the skills of our senior students to support our junior students as and when we can. We take pride in working closely with whanau and our local community, to support our learners. We offer a wide variety of programmes - from academic, sporting and cultural opportunities - in both during and after school programmes. Our children take up these opportunities with much enthusiasm and as a result we have a presence in a wide range of local cultural and sporting competitions. We are an Enviroschool and are very proud of the rapid developments that are happening with this. As well as our extensive garden and planting programmes, we have our own recycling station that works alongside our local Waitaki Resource Recovery Centre. We also have a very fruitful garden, orchard, and tunnel house which we use to grow native seedlings and vegetables. Our natives have been used to develop riparian areas on farms in our community. We are an innovative and creative community of learners!

We believe that unexpected kindness has the power to change lives. People from all over the world can nominate someone in need of kindness. Every week we choose someone to help, share their story, request what they need and - who knows - maybe change a life....or at the very least spread a bit of kindness. 52 Lives is supported by almost 100,000 kind strangers and 52 celebrities who are all helping us to change lives every single week Charity No: 1166238 Find out more Website Please click here to visit our website Facebook http://www.facebook.com/52lives Twitter http://www.twitter.com/52lives

Partnerships between parents, carers, educators and children enhance children’s success. We know that children learn more and have better lives when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts, information and works on projects to benefit children.
