Amputation Foundation registered in February 2017 and became actively supporting amputees, their families, carers, friends and medical professionals that work with amputees in June 2017.Amputation Foundation works alongside amputee support groups and user groups, ensuring that each and every amputee is given immediate help and support following their loss of limb(s).The key to the growth and success of this charity is building relationships with medical professionals throughout the UK so that these professionals can immediately contact AF when they come in to contact with somebody affected by limb loss and AF can then instruct the appropriate care and support for that individuals needs. Devon Air Ambulance Trust raises funds to keep two helicopters flying in Devon. Independent of Government funding, operating costs of the service are met by public fundraising/donations. Paramedics provided by South Western Ambulance Services NHS Foundation Trust, supported in part by the Charity.
