Charlies Charity has been set up in the memory of Charlie, who tragically died in a car accident on 26 September 2009 at the age of 18 years, 2 months and 5 days. Charlie was loved by all who knew him and in his short but full life he made a huge and lasting difference to peoples lives. Sport, especially football, played a large part in Charlies life. Whether it was watching it on TV, watching Spurs or playing for his teams, it was his passion and it is hoped that others will be able to benefit in some way from the legacy that Charlie has left behind. In all that Charlie did, he did with a smile on his face that warmed all who came into contact with him very deeply. This "just being Charlie" earned him great respect, popularity and love and quite simply, he was someone who people wanted to be with.
