(UK, 1139537) The Braunstone Foundation exists to provide help and support to the residents of Braunstone in Leicester and continue a legacy of regeneration and improvement. This Foundation act as a Community Anchor for Braunstone and aims to deliver quality services to all sectors of the community including; individuals, groups, and businesses. We have set up this fundraising page as The Braunstone Foundation are trying to raise funds for their Growing Project, which started with very humble roots two years ago, using local green spaces and gardens to grow fresh produce. After winning an RHS neighbourhood award, a Farmer in neighbouring Blaby District kindly donated farmland to support this project. Over the last year, the project has grown and they now run a volunteer scheme at the Farm. The scheme supports volunteers to plant vegetable crops to supplement The Braunstone Foundation’s Foodshare (which struggles to have enough food to meet demand), it also means that they have fresh veg available for families who are struggling or who are in crisis.
