(UK, 578740) Horizon Methodist Church has been part of the local scene at Hunter's Bar,Sheffield for over 100 years. Now we are planning for the next 100 years by changing our approach to mission, redesigning the inside of the church and opening it up for wider community use. We are calling our change "Horizon @ Hunter's Bar". We hope to provide: - a "child friendly" coffee shop with meeting spaces - meeting rooms and a large performance or exhibition area for local groups to use - support for the local economy - a centre for creativity and spirituality - worship and exploration of life's big issues in the 21st century

(UK, 1027481) We are a group of business & professional people who meet weekly, fund raise for good causes & charities, plus provide services to both young and old within our community locally, nationally and abroad. Our main objective is to provide service to those in need as and when they need it most. You will of course know us best as the people who bring you Santa every December. But we do so much more. We have a Reach-out day providing lunch and entertainment for the elderly, we deliver parcels to the house bound on Christmas Day & Plants in the Spring to bring cheer. Abroad we provide Shelter Boxes to disaster / war torn areas and provide clean drinking water where such an important commodity is not available.We run both photographic & debating competitions annually for students from local schools, give students Interview practice and often sponsor students attending outward bound courses. We work closely with the Police Cadets on a number of events throughout each year.
