YTD Raised: $0.00Since Paramedic Jamie Jackway’s tragic Rescue Helicopter Accident, his family, friends and regional work colleagues in Townsville, rallied behind him and continue to do so. They have done a most remarkable job to raise much needed support for Jamie and his Family. They have started something very special to meet Jamie’s life-long needs as a quadriplegic, AND they are without doubt, the true founders of all future appeals including this new appeal. WHY DID WE START THIS PARTICULAR APPEAL? Jamie and Mel where personally approached to request permission to start this extra appeal by a group of like-minded people who feel compelled to contribute more and utilise their endurance skills, their existing team members and networks to help keep the dream alive for Jamie and assist raise further awareness and funds for Jamie's and the Families Life-Long needs as a quadriplegic. This particular group of individuals have a proven record and background in the field of Endurance Events and Fundraising. They feel there is a strong need to found a charitable support organisation not only for Paramedics such as Jamie, but ANY Paramedic and their family who may require extra support and assistance in the future AND furthermore aim at improving the overall health and wellbeing of Paramedics through an active and healthy lifestyle. They have a volunteer team in place and ready to go. Each memberis committed to the following mission statement in relation to this appeal.
