(UK, 1170056) Hull 4 Heroes is a registered Charity based in Hull serving Hull and the surrounding Area. We renovate and will in the near future be building homes for veterans of the Armed Forces. Helping the veteran and their family into suitable housing to enable them to concentrate on rebuilding their lives after leaving the forces. We know not everyone who leaves the services suffers physically / mentally or socially but we are there to help those that do. We work closely with many other local and national charities to make sure all bases are covered. Since being setup in November 2015 (with charity status the following November 2016), we've done 5 major renovation projects and helped over 45 veterans in smaller ways, be that providing some furniture, helping with getting a property ready to move into, and making the connections for them with other agencies who can help with their other needs. Our Volunteers and supporters are a credit to us and we couldn't do any of the things we've done and plan to do without them. We literally couldn't be more grateful for all of the individuals, businesses and agencies who offer daily support to us. Thank you Team Hull 4 Heroes

At the Harrogate branch our volunteers give their time unpaid to ensure we are there for our callers when they need us.

YTD Raised: £0.00Chordoma UK was established in 2013 as a special fundraising initiative incorporated into UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust. Chordoma is a rare, relentless and difficult to treat bone cancer that occurs in the head and spine in people of all ages regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation. During 2017 Chordoma UK became an independent UK registered charity and exists to (a) promote and provide financial support to encourage primary and peripheral research projects into chordoma and research projects that might benefit the understanding of, and treatments, therapies, and cures for, chordoma being undertaken at bona-fide research establishments within the United Kingdom and elsewhere. (b) provide patient support services and other support resources for chordoma sufferers and those connected with or related to chordoma sufferers (c) promote awareness into chordoma within the patient, healthcare, and clinician communities. (e) support individuals and organisations whose aim is to raise funds for Chordoma UK and (f) provide financial assistance for other charities or bodies as are in any way concerned with research into chordoma and other related cancers or with the furtherance of awareness of chordoma.
