The Fun Run Walk is our major fundraiser for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. The charity operates the English Alive Academy, which was established in 2004, a school that delivers high quality, full-time education to disadvantaged children aged 3 – 12 who live in and around the city of Nazret in EthiopiaEnglish Alive Academy, Ethiopia, has 190 students, aged between 3 and 12. Fifteen per cent of our students have lost one or both of their parents through disease. Our pupils endure daily hardships rooted in poverty, such as illness, unreliable access to food or clean water, and chaotic family lives.
