We rely on the goodwill of our local community and businesses for financial support.The aim of Chippenham Sea Cadets is to inspire young people through nautical adventure and challenge to help give them a head start in life.The unit which is based by the river provides a place for children to attend 2 parade nights per week as well as a range of activities taking place on weekends and during school holidays. Cadets have the opportunity to learn a variety of new skills both on and off the water leading to a number nationally recognized qualifications. In addition to the formal training provided by the unit, there are many opportunities for cadets to develop important life skills including self-discipline, team work, leadership and resilience. Most importantly sea cadets provides an opportunity for young people to spend time outdoors, make friends and have fun.
