Our club aims to support the members AND their carers with services that aim to maximise the wellbeing of both groups. Exercise has been proven to help stem the progression and maybe even improve the symptoms of this with conditions like Parkinson's. We aim to provide exercise classes twice a week.
Gorton Visual Arts has been creating artwork in and around Gorton and Manchester since 2006. We meet once a week at the Aviary Community Rooms in Debdale Park. The group is made up of 18 local residents and Lead Artist Ian McKay. By involving elderly residents, vulnerable adults and residents with learning difficulties, in a safe studio environment new skills are learnt and shared. Gorton visual arts actively promote social cohesion and inclusion through the arts. We have worked on some fantastic projects including the Belle Vue Mosaic at Gorton Market , Manchester’s Library Theatre and more Recently on the Whit Walks Project with Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry.

WWV works in 850 schools, colleges, youth clubs and prisons across the UK to promote volunteering. We give presentations to 55,000 young people each year to motivate them to volunteer and help them to find suitable placements. WWV actively works with both ex-offenders and with young people with disabilities, and we help countless charities find volunteers to help them continue the work that they do as well .... by helping us, you are actually helping a lot of other charities too! In addition to this, WWV operates a free online database of volunteering opportunities with 2000 different organisations across the UK and around the world, matching thousands of volunteers of all ages with their ideal volunteer placement.
Quest4Change is the Quest Charitable Trust, which supports grassroots community and conservation projects worldwide.
