Friends of Lexden is the PTA for the school run entirely by volunteers. Our aim is to raise much needed funds for our school and our children. Our funds help to enhance and improve the children’s school experience where the normal school budget can not stretch to. We have previously funded such items as sports team kits, stage equipment, year 6 leavers events and help to subsidise all school trips, so no child has to miss out. With the ever increasing demands on school budgets our donations really make an impact on how the school can run and every child’s life.
Relate’s vision is a future where healthy relationships are actively promoted as the heart of a thriving society. Our mission is to make expert information and support for healthy relationships available to everyone. Relate Worcestershire provides counselling to couples, individuals, families, children and young people, plus psychosexual therapy and sex addiction therapy at centres in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Worcester, Broadway, Kidderminster, Upton upon Severn, Bewdley and Hereford. Most people experience times when difficulties seem hard to cope with. We help people overcome debilitating problems which may otherwise have long lasting effects on their lives and mental health. Our vital therapeutic relationship counselling services help people explore a way forward, work toward solutions and increase understanding of one another. Although ours is a paid for service, we also have a Bursary Fund which enables us to offer free or subsidised counselling sessions for those whose individual circumstances mean they would be otherwise unable to pay our fees.

We are an educational charity working to equip Christians everywhere to form an effective counter force to the intolerance and aggression that now prevail in so many communities, and to build understanding between the faiths. We work to deepen Christians’ faith and widen their perspectives, giving them the confidence to engage in meaningful dialogue by building bridges with their neighbours of other faiths and world-views. In Syria and Iraq, the Foundation is working with young Christians, teaching them how to be ambassadors of peace and reconciliation so that they can play a substantial role in rebuilding both their own communities and all of society. We also work to help displaced Syrian children to rebuild their lives in their new communities. In addition, we work with other faiths to build understanding and develop bonds that contribute to the strengthening of all our communities.
