The condition affects an estimated 3% of the of N.I. which include young children and teenagers, and this figure continues to rise. The charity operate a daily support line using volunteers in their own homes. We provide information in various forms , through information packs, books dvds and also our website. Passionate and respected community leaders rallied behind the District's call for a focus on building hopeful students and families to uplift the City of San Bernardino - a community suffering from economic, social and health challenges that stifle prosperity. Hope allows people to envision a better future, design a path toward that future, and to take purposeful steps toward it. As a result of a deep commitment to this quest, the San Bernardino Community and School Alliance (CASA) which previously supported the District's work was reorganizaed and renamed the Making Hope Happen Foundation. With your help, the Making Hope Happen Foundation engages people, builds partnerships, provides leadership, and delivers resources where they are needed to achieve a thriving and innovative community in which every student is a life-long learner and can be successful in meeting their hopes and aspirations

The organisation was incorporated in 1979 and since then has provided support to thousands of bereaved families and has saved an estimated 8,000 babies lives. Despite this there are many babies that have not been so fortunate. In 2010, there were 217 sudden and unexpected deaths in infants and over 3,000 perinatal deaths. SIDS and Kids WA through our fundraising programs deliver critical services, including the life saving Safe Sleeping education program, grief support to families and research into infant mortality. SIDS and Kids WA needs your help to continue supporting the Western Australian Community.
