(UK, 1012850) ClearVision is a charity. We run a national postal lending library of children's books in print and braille, designed to be shared by blind and sighted children and adults reading together. Over a thousand families, schools, nurseries and libraries all over the UK borrow books from us. Our books are enjoyed by children learning braille, most of whom have sighted parents who don't read braille, and couldn't otherwise help their children learn to read. They're also loved by braille-reading parents and grandparents who read them with sighted children. We believe sharing stories is one of the great pleasures of childhood, and should be something everyone can enjoy.

Please donate to directly save lives.Refugee Rescue is a Humanitarian Search And Rescue team which was born in response to the mass displacement of people fleeing war, families who are forced to risk their lives to get to safer lands.Since 2015 over 1.2 million refugees crossed the Aegean sea from Turkey to the island of Lesvos where over 4500 people have drowned (and that was only the numbers recorded, many other boats that have went 'missing'). We could not look the other way.In January 2016 an international artist donated an ex RNLI Atlantic 75 rescue boat - "Mo Chara" ('My Friend' in Gaelic). We are now a rotating crew of skilled Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers.We provide assistance for the many refugees who are crossing treacherous seas in unsuitable vessels at the hands of smugglers. Our sea rescue team is there to help these men, woman and children in this inhumane situation and stop anymore innocent lives lost at sea.
