St John's Hospice provides care to patients coping with life limiting conditions throughout North Lancashire, South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire. We have a 20 bed in-patient ward, a day hospice service, hospice at home, bereavement support and a number of other vital services.
The Hearing House teaches deaf children with hearing aids or cochlear implants to listen and speak like their hearing friends. The Hearing House is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005, registration number CC10806.
Brightwater State School's X-Country event will again incorporate the 'Run4Fun' concept which has proved to be a valuable fundraising event over the last 2 years. We hold sales or art and sculpture and other events to raise money for research into breast cancer and to provide support and care for those suffering from the disease.
East Lancashire Hospice provides specialist, supportive and end of life care for patients and their families from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley who are coping with a life-limiting illness. To enable us to continue this work, we need to raise around £3 million every year.
