At Whenuapai School our tamariki and whanau are our focal point. Our team strives to create a stimulating, motivating and inclusive learning environment which allows the growth and development of passionate lifelong learners. Whenuapai School is a state, co-educational primary school catering for approximately 500 pupils from Year 1 to Year 8. The school has refurbished learning spaces and beautiful grounds with large playing spaces. We are unique as we have a Royal New Zealand Air Force Base as our neighbour, and we are fortunate to maintain a close working relationship with them. Our school values: Respect Self, Respect Others, Respect Learning, and Respect Environment, are interwoven through and across our curriculum and in our everyday learning. Our programmes enable our students to develop a strong sense of belonging and connect with a supportive community. Our Kura has an amazing and dedicated staff who strive to make a positive difference for every child and maintain high expectations of all our learners. We are passionate about providing a school curriculum and learning experiences which develops core literacy and numeracy skills whilst embracing all subjects of the New Zealand Curriculum and allowing for creativity and student agency. Our tamariki also have the opportunity to take part in a broad range of sports and cultural activities and interests.
