Ssf aims to reduce the vulnerability of young children to abuse and assault by raising the awareness of parents & carers and running a series of three workshops with pre-school children (typically 4 - 5 years old). Two puppets, Callum and Shona, help to teach the children strategies they can use to help them stay safe, strong and free. The 3 subjects covered in the workshops are: bullying; staying safe around strangers when not accompanies by an adult; and staying safe around adults and older children that the child knows.
