Tennis Rocks' mission is to provide opportunities for under-served, and at risk children and families in the Wilmington area to fulfill their maximum potential academically, socially, and physically. We use Tutoring and Music to address educational needs and Tennis to develop physical fitness, and essential life skills.
The Deaf Studies Trust provides innovative solutions to improve communication and reduce isolation within the Deaf Community. It specialises in British Sign Language, and has recently set up special videophones for Deaf people to get help in an emergency and to talk with friends when they are feeling down.
Baillieston Community Care is a registered charity and community care organisation which has been established since 1992. Our organisation provides a variety of services aimed at maintaining individuals independence at home.Currently we have three separate services; Private Care at home for adults with disabilities. Creative Breaks Respite Care for adults with Dementia & Dementia Day Care.
In 2005 pupils and friends associated with St Mary's Chesterfield raised £44,000 and built a primary school in Titao. This is a small town in northern Burkina Faso. Before our project no school existed. Now over 130 boys and girls are able to attend school each year. We continue to raise £7,000 every year to help pay for the costs of running the school.
