By spending one weekend per month for at least twelve months, the aunts and uncles show their commitment to their ‘linked’ child who learns to build trust and confidence in themselves and their community. Right now, there are hundreds of children waiting to be linked. As the government funds less than 30% of the program cost, we urgently need funds to recruit, train and support our volunteers. We thank you for helping to celebrate our 35th anniversary with us in 2009, by choosing to support Aunties & Uncles as your charity for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon.
