Bench Outreach helps vulnerable people in South East London. We provide support to alcoholics, drug users, ex-offenders, people with mental and physical health issues, and the economically and socially excluded. We are Christians who value equality, diversity and the sanctity of human life.
The Tasibeh Girls School is located in Pindi, near Sialkot in Pakistan. It provides a basic education for girls and young women from families who cannot afford such an education for their daughters.The project was started by Khalida Luqman and her husband. Khalida chairs the group of women from across the communities in Rotherham and South Yorkshire who support the school on an ongoing basis.
Upper Norwood Library Trust is run by a group of local residents who have come together and pledged to save Upper Norwood Joint Library and continue the 100 year old tradition of a much loved professionally staffed library at the heart of a local community hub - delivering all kinds of culture and learning opportunities.
The William Wilberforce Monument Fund is a fundraising campaign to improve the cultural and historical awareness of the Wilberforce legacy in the context of past and modern day slavery. It also aims to restore the lighting for the William Wilberforce Monument in readiness for 2017 when Hull becomes the City of Culture. Light the monument, light the message.
