Survivors (Hull & East Riding) is a rape and sexual trauma centre which provides therapeutic counselling and support to people affected by or living with the traumatic effects of childhood sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. We also offer a rape crisis service for male and female survivors of sexual violence.Survivors provides a unique service to both male and female survivors. For too long, society’s reaction to rape and historical sexual abuse has been to ignore it and to instruct the victim to do likewise even though its high prevalence and the resulting all too frequent development of chronic post-traumatic stress disorder make this problem one of the most difficult to resolve.
We provide support for families and individuals who are experiencing domestic abuse or live in fear of it.
