4Cs (Centres for Christian Care and Counselling) is a local low-cost counselling organisation run by trained volunteers who are Christians. There are currently centres in Dereham, Norwich, Aylsham and Lowestoft (King's Lynn very soon). 4Cs services are open to everyone, irrespective of faith (or no faith), gender, race, age or sexuality, . People come for counselling for a wide variety of issues, although the most common ones are relationship issues, depression, low self-esteem or as a result of past emotional trauma. The work can be both short or long term. Most people come to 4Cs following recommendation from their GP. Although some counselling is available on the NHS, many people find that this is insufficient and come to 4Cs for longer term work.
What we do and Why Shiloh, a Christian Charity, aims to help people in the locality of Rotherham living in poverty, transition, oppression and homelessness to rebuild their lives, by providing food, support and necessary information to enable them to connect with health, housing and hope. We provide compassion and dignity including facilities for washing, showering and laundry and can connect guests to other support services enabling them to make better choices for an independent life. We believe this - that Jesus cared for the poor - and we want to do the same. We welcome guests and volunteers regardless of their beliefs. Our Vision We want a society in which all human beings have the ability to provide for themselves and their families: food, shelter, and independence. We want people to know that they are not alone and we want to help them to help themselves.

Our efforts are currently focused on the Nuffield School for the Deaf and Blind in Sri-Lanka. The 55-year old school provides primary and secondary schooling for children with physical disabilities and board for many of them often orphaned or abandoned. The work it does is unique and crucial in a community where physical disabilities are often stigmatised and support inadequate. In our opinion, Nuffield is an institution that deserves to be preserved.
