We offer school residentials, weekends for groups and individuals and kids camps during the summer along with many opportunities to train in the outdoors or work towards a DofE Award. We are currently fundraising for a £1.5 million building project that will offer en-suite accommodation, disabled access facilities, a new equipment store, lounges, instructional office and staff accommodation. YTD Raised: n/aAs Girls’ Brigade Northern Ireland (GBNI) approaches its 125th anniversary, it has partnered with a local charity, Fields of Life (FOL), and generously committed to raising funds to build a school and provide education, opportunity and hope for 500 pupils in Karwa Centenary Primary School, Kisoro, South West Uganda.The £125,000 fundraising project will enable the construction of classroom blocks complete with furniture and textbooks, a nursery block, a kitchen, staff and student accommodation and most importantly a clean water source.The gift of water is both life changing and lifesaving. By gifting this school and community with safe clean water, children will no longer have to spend hours walking long distances to collect water. It will also allow children to attend school, reduce the number of water related diseases and ultimately deaths, and also reduce children being at risk of attack walking through remote areas to collect water. Girls' Brigade NI is a Christian ministry among girls and young women, which exists to promote, extend and maintain the ministry of GB, to the glory of God. We work alongside 287 local churches across Northern Ireland in providing weekly activities for girls aged 3-18 years old. At our Community Kitchen in High Cross street we provide a safe and welcoming environment where clients can keep warm and dry, have a hot and nutritious meal, as well as joining in with a variety of activities and workshops. Our charity is run by a group of 40 plus volunteers, trustees and 1 paid manager. We have recently launched our free debt advice service and hope to expand the variety of our service in the future. Without the generous support from the public, local businesses and our volunteers we simple wouldn't be able to operate.
