This is the in-patient psychiatric unit that covers the the Borough of Barnet. There are 3 Wards on this Unit, with capacity for 62 patients – the wards are almost always full.We are collecting money to enrich the ward environment beyond that which the NHS provides. The church congregation has developed contacts within the Unit and initiated various projects – Christmas presents for all those on the wards, Easter eggs & daffodils in April, and strawberries & a cream tea for Wimbledon finals weekend.. The staff have requested that we fund raise for outdoor gym equipment for the two outdoor areas, to help the physical and mental health of those admitted to the wards. We provide activities that enable the active participation of all age groups in the life of the Church. We support organisations, religious and secular, local and global, working to alleviate poverty, suffering and distress.
