(UK, 1172314) Young Camden Foundation is a registered charity and membership organisation, set up in 2017 to address the growing uncertainty of long-term investment in the children and young people sector in Camden, and the need to build more cross-sector partnerships. YCF is a second-tier organisation and has awarded over £2m to local Camden-based organisations and has over 130 members working directly with children and young people. Our funded projects have benefited over 20,000 of those who are most in need and we want to add to this number every year. We aim to provide a new model of local support for our members, which includes building capacity and better equipping the community with resources and funding, connecting and working with organisations to develop new and entrepreneurial approaches to supporting young people and championing critical issues facing the local community. YCF is a trusted delivery partner of Camden Council ,and runs the Department for Education funded Holiday, Activities and Food programme across the borough. Young Camden Foundation is also part of the national Young People’s Foundations Trust model and has sister organisations across a number of different London boroughs. We aim to encourage and assist our members, partners and supporters in connecting and working together to form innovative and sustainable opportunities for young people in Camden.

Social entrepreneurs are passionate about delivering solutions to the problems they identify or have experienced. Social entrepreneurs help society, and specifically their community cope in tough times, creating better ways to provide for local social needs, to bring people together, to inspire hope for the future and to build confidence and capability to act for social benefit. They are our future leaders for a better and more sustainable society. For the next 3 years, we will support around 600 social entrepreneurs to start and then grow their organisations, through our awards. We provide a blend of funding, advice, mentoring, training and connections. In the process, we support them to develop skills, confidence and resources to help them progress in their journey, and develop as social leaders. UnLtd is helping to build a robust ecosystem of partners so that social entrepreneurs can find the right support to start up and thrive wherever they are. Our new strategy: ‘Going Mainstream’ (2017-2020) where we will be focusing our energies on supporting social entrepreneurs by Realising Potential, Connecting to Great Support and Maximising Impact which will focus on: Building Access to Employment, Solutions for an Ageing Society and Community Resilience.

YTD Raised: £0.00We are a small charity working on the island of Corfu. Our aim is to improve the life of the stray cats and other animals on the island by neutering using the "trap/neuter/return" method. We treat for ticks, fleas and worms and give medication to stray animals with illnesses or injuries. If absolutely (and only if absolutely) necessary we will see that animals are humanely put to sleep to prevent further suffering if no further help can be given. We set up feeding stations and provide food during the winter months and have a few small recovery centres all run by our volunteers. We concentrate our efforts mainly but not exclusively on the stray cat population. Our charity also helps pets of impoverished local people. Unfortunately re-homing strays is not generally an option but sometimes we are able to re-home some of the most vulnerable animals.
