The René Cassin organisation was created to promote the legacy of Nobel Laureate M. René Cassin, by continuing his efforts to protect and promote the human rights of all people through universalising Jewish historical experience. We run educational initiatives and advocate in our key campaign areas, which include discrimination, slavery, detention and genocide. The René Cassin organisation also enjoys accreditation at the United Nations through its parent organisation, the CCJO. This status is integrally linked to the significant role that M. René Cassin played in drafting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and contributing to the UN system generally. This means we have a real presence within the international human rights community. To learn more about our work, please go to: www.renecassin.org We also suggest that you:

We offer activities and services that are all free to young people. We’re not about telling them what to do. Through conversation, we build an environment of mutual respect and trust, we hope to equip them with increasing confidence and skills, so they can take control of their own lives.

The Zimbabwe Aid Fund UK (ZAF) has been established for the purpose of raising desperately needed funds and the sourcing of medical equipment and consumables to support the destitute elderly in Zimbabwe. The plight of the elderly is one of the less publicised outcomes of Zimbabwes social, economic and political collapse. There are a number of facilities for the aged spread throughout Zimbabwe, most of which are dependent on various levels of external funding to survive. Whilst the raising of funds for food is vital, of equal importance is the provision of medical services. Most of the medical facilities in Zimbabwe are run down. There is a lack of trained staff, a shortage of funds for medicines and consumables and most of the equipment is extremely old with many items being unserviceable as there are not the funds, skills or spare parts to repair them.

St Richard’s is a co-educational boarding and day school for 2½ to 13 year olds. While the school is founded on the Catholic faith and Christian values are paramount, we welcome children of all denominations. St Richard’s is set in 35 acres of glorious Herefordshire countryside. We have recently launched an Appeal to enable us to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Hirons Hall, our indoor sports hall with which any Old Ricardian will be very familiar. Primarily, we intend to re-roof and re-clad the Hirons Hall and install heating. Our second phase is to build changing facilities alongside the Hirons Hall; this will have the added benefit of releasing a lot of pressure around the back corridors of the main building. To improve access to this area and parking in general we will re-model the staff carpark and create a more aesthetically pleasing approach to the school. Any surplus funds at this stage will be channelled towards the updating and refurbishment of the school's other facilities. Please join us in making this a successful and exciting project; we have set ourselves a demanding challenge but are confident that, with the loyal support of all those who come into contact with the school, it is all very achievable.
