The Kent Foster Care association is a small registered charity which aims to provide support to registered foster carers in Kent. The charity was set up and is run by foster carers with a desire to help all in this rewarding but sometimes difficult role. We work to protect and preserve the wellbeing of foster carers, the children in their care and the whole fostering family in Kent by the provision of advice, information, services, facilities and equipment. We try to do this in a variety of ways including funding training opportunities, conferences, and events for the foster carers. We also fund and organise a number of fun activities and events for children in care and their whole families across the year. We work with localised KCC fostering events teams and support them to arrange their own events for children and their families. As a charity we rely on donations and fund raising, over the next year we are looking to increase our fundraising capabilities as we grow.
