rapids landing p&c is a group of parents and staff that fundraise throughout the year to help enrich the school experience of the students that attend.
Herne Hill P&C is dedicated bunch of volunteers who advocate and co-ordinate activities to raise funds to provide additional resources, lower the cost of excursions and events, and create a strong school community.
The P&C is a place where the wisdom of our local school family can have real and positive impacts on how the school functions. The P&C raised funds enables families to have input in how our school is functioning and how best to meet the needs of our school community.
The Cold War Museum® is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to education, preservation, and research on the global, ideological, and political confrontations between East and West from the end of World War II to the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Hours: Saturdays 11-4pm, Sundays 1-4pm, and by appointment. Admission and the orientation tour are free, but we welcome donations. Location and Directions: The Museum is located at Vint Hill, the former Top Secret signals intelligence base just outside Gainesville, VA, in one of the former Vint Hill Farm Station buildings used during the Cold War by the US Army, the National Security Agency, and the Central Intelligence Agency to intercept and interpret coded messages. Our Street Address is 7172 Lineweaver Road, Vint Hill, VA 20187 (next to the Vint Hill Craft Winery). Our Mailing Address is P.O. Box 861526, Vint Hill, VA 20187. Artifacts: Our collections are particularly strong on signals intelligence, image intelligence, aerial surveillance, civil defense, Berlin, the East German secret police (STASI), the Cuban Missile Crisis, and events such as the Pueblo and Liberty incidents. The Museum shares a campus with The Inn at Vint Hill, the Vint Hill Craft Winery, the Covert Café, and Old Bust Head Brewing Company. The Glasgow Taxi Outing Fund takes over 300+ children and a carer from Additional Support for Learning Schools in Glasgow to Troon, Ayrshire, for a fun packed day at the beach free of charge .Taxis provide the transport there and back with lunch, funrides, disco, beach toys and lots more provided.
