You’ll find St Paul’s to be a warm and welcoming church, a place where we seek to combine our worship with our daily living. St Paul’s people are keen to demonstrate God’s love within this community through the many activities we are involved in. We are currently raising funds to rewire the church and to install modern lighting which will both be much more effective and also improve the ambience of the church. The electrical wiring at St Paul’s is very old. The last inspection required us to make some emergency repairs and it is unlikely to pass its next inspection. At the same time, our lighting is far below acceptable standards. Earlier this year the P.C.C commissioned a respected firm of electrical engineers, experienced in church lighting, to draw up plans for both the rewiring and new lighting. Those plans have now been completed and we also now have the Diocesen Faculty (planning permission) to carry out the works. We are hoping to start the works as soon as possible. Your contribution during February and March, in memory of Shirley Edwards, will be gratefully received by us all here at St Paul's Hook.
