Blessing in Disguise is a North West based not for profit Children’s charity, set up to raise funds with the emphasis on creating a positive focus in enabling freedom to enjoy treasured memories to share with family and loved ones and providing a range of life enhancing experiences with a significant impact in improving the quality of life for families and their carers of disabled, disadvantaged and terminally ill children and young people. We are a socially responsible organisation giving support via our free service for the whole family, providing a range of essential equipment such as special needs wheelchairs, prams, walkers, sensory equipment, communication aid etc., planned activities, themed breaks and promoting and providing social and recreational opportunities for children and young adults with a life shortening illnesses, disabilities or who are at a disadvantage because of their situation. We welcome support from the community, local and national businesses - no matter how big or small your pledge for support is - every little goes a long way to achieving life goals for these children and their families and carers. We have a monthly newsletter, that we send out to all of our supporters and anyone who wants to make a difference to a child's life. Bishop Martin PTA is a registered charity. The main aim of our PTA is to enhance the education of the children by organising activities, and raising money, in order to provide facilities and equipment to support the school.
The Y-House Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation set up to benefit the growing needs of young people living in aged care. The Y-House Foundation is committed to raising funds for the provision of long term housing for young people with physical disabilities and/or limitations, rendering them unable to live at home, alone or outside of aged care. The Y-House Foundation has future plans to provide these young people with a vibrant and stimulating ‘home’ environment with people their own age to further enhance their quality of life.
