We are committed to: - Raising funds and resources to support the day-to-day operation of Jimmy's Village School and to fund expansion of the current school - Creating the opportunity for disadvantaged children in Siem Reap and surrounds to access free education - Support the basic healthcare needs of the students at Jimmy's Village School - Raise awareness amongst Australians about Jimmy's Village School and life in Siem Reap, Cambodia Jimmy's Village School is run single-handedly by Jimmy, a local Cambodian teacher who is dedicated to enriching children's lives through education. Classes run 5 nights per week, in the small front yard of Jimmy's family home. Jimmy teaches FREE classes in English, life skills and Cambodian culture to over 150 students per evening. He doesn't take a wage for his time and hard work; the fulfilment of enriching a child's future is what Jimmy thrives on. More and more children in the local village wish to join Jimmy's Village School yet there is simply not enough room. Our goal for the near future is to raise funds to build a whole new school for Jimmy's Village School - where Jimmy can provide free education to a larger number of local children, and can help shape the future of education in Cambodia through leading by example.
