Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis, we’ll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner. We’ll push for a better deal and respect for everyone experiencing a mental health problem. #UlverstonMIND provides a range of services and support including counselling, perinatal depression #ConnectingMums, group and one to one support, information and advice, mentoring, supported volunteering and more.In addition to delivering services and support we work to challenge stigma and discrimination relating to mental health issues and to increase understanding of mental health problems and emotional wellbeing within our local communities. #UlverstonMIND lead on Cumbria's community based perinatal support services, provide mental health peer mentoring training to employers, bespoke workshops and events for local organisations and businesses within the Ulverston Healthy Town Initiative. Help #UlverstonMIND celebrate 30 Years!In 1988 #UlverstonMIND was founded by local people in response to an urgent need to provide community-based mental health support services - the charity has always been well supported through the generous donations of time and money provided by the people, organisations and businesses of Ulverston and district. We are immensely proud of our dedicated and skilled volunteer workforce who deliver, often life-saving, services to individuals and families experiencing mental health difficulty - 1 in 4 people experience a mental health issue in their lifetime; sometimes triggered by common life events such as the death of a loved one, relationship breakdown, homelessness, domestic abuse, unemployment, coping with illness or caring for a loved one with dementia - these events can often cause stress, anxiety, loneliness or depression. People can turn to #UlverstonMIND - we listen and we care.
