Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are an independent local rehoming cat rescue charity covering Colchester and the surrounding area. We provide temporary and permanent homes to around 50-100 cats at any one time. When rehoming our cats, we always try to ensure a good match between the new owners and the requirements of the cat and consider factors such as the location, the home environment and the personality and needs of the cat. We take in cats and kittens and provide them with a safe and warm environment, and all essential vet treatment including neutering, vaccinating and microchipping, and necessary treatment such as dental work, blood tests, and surgical procedures. We are not government funded and rely heavily on our own fundraising and the generosity of our loyal supporters. We never have a healthy cat put to sleep, preferring to give all cats a chance for a fresh start in a loving home that suits their needs. Our vet bills are our largest expense, recently taking in a cat called Betsy that had been involved in an RTA, resulting in a broken pelvis which required specialist veterinary treatment costing us around £3000. This was in addition to our total annual vets bill of £55000 and food bill of £14000.Please donate to support our cause.
