(UK, SC047268) The Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland The Foundation supports older people living with dementia, depression and loneliness by engaging them in social activities and helping them to recall memories of watching or playing sport. Alongside the Sporting Memories Network Scotland CIC, our work aims to challenge stereotypical views of ageing, to reduce stigma around issues like dementia and depression and to help reduce loneliness and enable older people to live well. Groups are set up in partnership with organisations such as local authorities and sporting bodies who wish to engage with those who are hard to reach in their local community. We work together across generations to establish effective solutions on how to target and engage older people. We provide the training and the resources for volunteers and people within these organisations to run groups, making sure they have the knowledge, understanding and skills to deliver meaningful sessions which will benefit participants. There is emerging evidence that volunteering is in itself a solution to loneliness and isolation, with many volunteers in the UK being over the age of 65 who live alone. There is also emerging evidence that volunteering has a significant impact on health and wellbeing. The Sporting Memories Foundation Scotland is a registered charity Number SC047268

We provide free healthcare, education and quality care for some of India's poorest children. At Love the One, we are passionate about child-centred development. Children represent the future and are often the starting point for breaking inter-generational cycles of poverty, abuse and discrimination.Love the One exists to provide poor and orphaned children with free medical care. However Love the One is more than a medical project. We are passionate about seeing childrens’ lives transformed, and allowing them to regain their childhood. Not only do we treat their illnesses, but we aim to love, counsel and stand up on behalf of these children so that they don’t just exist, but that they live life to the full.Our vision is simple, we want to be part of creating a world where children’s rights are not just documented in a charter but are realised in practical ways to allow freedom for every child to reach their full potential.
