(UK, 1164143) Browse eventsNortheastern Nigeria has been besieged by Boko Haram since 2009. It is estimated that more than 2 million people have been displaced by the insurgents (more than 70% are women and children), leaving thousands without homes or access to the most basic need. Foundation for Refugee Economic Empowerment (F.R.E.E) was formed to address both the immediate and long term needs of the Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) and returnee communities. We work to raise awareness and funds to support the IDPs with relief material for the short-term and rehabilitative empowerment for the long-term.Donations are used where we deem most needed except for project An-Noor which goes to a seperate account. If you would like your donation to go towards a specific project, please indicate this in the "personal message box" and use the said project as reference.Thank you for your support.
