Prison Network Ministries (PNM) provides practical, emotional and spiritual support to women and their families who are, or have been involved in the criminal justice system. We do this by: • offering sports/recreational programs; • offering craft/cooking programs; • facilitating a weekly open discussion group; • facilitating a monthly church service called ‘Sunday Live’; • running a “Fun with Mum” program in the Visits Centre • providing “side by side” mentors for women post release; • providing transport services for thewomen’s children to enable them to visit their mothers • transporting women home on release • giving one-to-one personal support to women whilst in custody and upon release. We continue our involvement post release through dedicated support workers and a network of volunteers who offer practical support in terms of reconciliation with family, counselling, court support, connecting with the community, connecting with churches and advocacy.
