We aim to provide opportunities for your child to experience and celebrate success and learning at their own individual level. We help your child to experience God's love and nurture his/her personal faith in an environment of prayer, celebration, belonging and community. Our school motto is 'Deeds not Words' and our students are invited to participate in social justice programs, giving expression to our Catholic beliefs, by making relevant connections to the contemporary world.

(AU, 051483022) Browse eventsAt Mahora School our mission is to engage all learners to strive to reach their full potential. The school motto is “Piki Haere”, which we use to represent the concept of “Keep on Climbing”. This was given to the school by Bishop Bennett of Waiapu. The motto fits very well with enhancing our children’s learning and further developing our school. We are a decile 3 school with a current roll of 331 students. The school has adopted a whakataukī from 2016 - ‘Mā te huruhuru ka rere te manu’ - ‘Adorn the bird with feathers so it can fly’. School camp is one of the many highlights for our senior students each year. We strive to give our tamariki experiences that they may not have had before. They are challenged to work as a team as well as developing independence. This year we are travelling 250km away to Rotorua. There, we will be engaged in a classic NZ outdoor educational camp at Lakes Ranch. Some of the activities include a Mud Run, Flying Fox, Mud Slide, Archery, Swoop Swing, and many more. We are hoping to raise as much as we can to help reduce the cost per student.
