They come to us from all over Scotland and are often way behind with their learning. The school provides therapeutic care for the children and also helps them improve vital skills such as literacy, which we know is a ‘passport to life’.  The core costs of care and education at Harmeny are met through local authority fees. However, it is the additional donations, no matter how small, that make all the difference to the children. They provide the “extras” that make life at Harmeny special. We are delighted to have launched a major capital appeal, in April 2018, called the Harmeny Learning for Life Appeal.With a target of £2.4 million, we plan to create much needed space and increased opportunities for changing the lives of young people both at Harmeny and from local communities.
