Women for Refugee Women is a small, dynamic charity which aims to raise awareness of the injustices experienced by women who seek asylum in the UK. Our vision is a society in which women’s human rights are respected and in which they are safe from persecution. Our mission is to ensure that women seeking asylum in the UK are treated with justice and dignity. We work in three main ways: we empower women asylum seekers to speak out publicly about their own experiences of persecution and of seeking asylum; we raise awareness of the experiences of women seeking asylum by working with the media and through engaging with the public, and we lobby politicians and policy makers to try to create a fairer asylum process.
