Doncaster Dragonboat Challenge

(UK, 1046140) Doncaster Tourism and Rotary Club of St George’s Dragon Boat Challenge will take place on 15th July 2017 at Lakeside, Doncaster. This will be the Eighth year of this event which helps raise funds for local charities and good causes supported by the Doncaster Rotary Club of St George’s. Dragon Boat Racing caters for all adult ages in one crew, male and female, mixed abilities and people with disabilities. It requires no previous experience and above all is great fun. Each team consists of 10 paddlers and 1 drummer, competing in 30 foot Dragon Boats. Teams pay an entry fee of £350 (Inclusive of Vat) per team and agree to raise a minimum of £30 per team member for charity. ALL the money raised will be passed to The Rotary Club of Doncaster St Georges, of which 70% will be returned to the Team Captain for presentation to your chosen Charity. We have developed a wide range of services to meet a variety of needs including counselling, a treatment programme for people with agoraphobia, supported housing, befriending, a workscheme which builds up peoples work related skills and teaches IT skills, help to obtain voluntary work, and a drop in centre with a choice of activities, information and support.
