Our program uses sports as a vehicle to help children have a better education, learn discipline, responsibility and leadership. (UK, 1156894) Just for KIC@X is a group of friends who annually raise money from clients, friends and family in time to purchase Christmas presents for Kids In Care @ Xmas. The group raise funds then personally go and buy the gifts, wrap them and deliver them to Social Services for delivery before the big day. We contact local Social Services and request a list of those children who through either being in between care and foster homes or just being in poverty will not receive a gift on Christmas Day. The list basically offers us information on age and gender and is totally anonymous. After the fundraising process the group then go out and buy a gift that is appropriate to each person on the list. If the gift needs batteries we sellotape these to the box to ensure that they gift is ready to use on Christmas Day!

In our first year we have given food, friendship and shelter to 56 guests and 44 guests have found more permanent accommodation. Before the end of 2015 we will expand from 10 to 14 beds!

The gratitude and humbleness showed by the children we met over the years was truly amazing. Motivated by our experiences and driven by the wish to help even one child if possible, further encouraged by the sacred journey we made to Filistine, Our Children Our Ummah was founded in February 2013.Our aim was to support orphans and the needy, and at the same time use Our Children Our Ummah as platform to unite, educate, and bring awareness to the elders and youth of today. We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to help a orphan regardless of their income level.Alhamdulillah, we continue to grow at a rapid pace. By the grace of Allah swt and with your duas, we are now working on projects in more then five different countries. This is achieved by communicating and reaching out to individuals and groups from all walks of life regardless of their race, religion, culture or status.
