At the Down Syndrome Society of Mobile (DSSM), our mission is to provide enrichment through education, networking opportunities, advocacy, and emotional support for individuals with Down Syndrome, their families and the greater community of Mobile, Alabama. One in every 691 babies in the the United States is born with Down Syndrome, making Down Syndrome the most common genetic condition. Founded in 1981, DSSM is 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing individuals with Down Syndrome with limitless opportunities to Grow Beyond Expectations.
