To honour babies who have died, been stillborn or miscarried. To help gather timeless memories. It wasn’t so long ago that when a baby died it was taken away, no touch, no cuddles, no time together............no memories. SiMBA is about memories. We help you to gather precious items for your Memory Box which we provide. We understand the importance of spending time with your baby in our Family Room. Adding a leaf on a Tree of Tranquillity shows that you are not alone in your loss, and acts as a place to remember and reflect. Our aim is to supply the precious Memory Boxes to every Maternity Unit in who wants them; to provide a Family room in every Maternity Unit where possible and to provide a Tree of Tranquillity in every Maternity district as a symbol of remembrance to babies and to show parents that they are not alone. Our web site provides information and latest charity news including the Maternity Units we supply Memory Boxes to; what hospitals have a Family Room and where the locations for the Tree of Tranquillity’s are and where we are next planning to have them. Having good friends and social networks improves your confidence, your self esteem and your general health! We introduce volunteers to people who need to see a friendly face and we help people get connected to their community again. One elderly person said they felt they'd started living again.
