We are a group of highly trained volunteers who work closely with West Midlands Ambulance Service to answer 999 emergency calls in the North Warwickshire area from Seckington and Austrey in the north, to Corley Moor in the south, as well as Nuneaton and Bedworth including surrounding areas. Community First Responder schemes are implemented to be able to provide immediate emergency care. The volunteers usually respond from their own homes into their local area to incidents such as cardiac arrest, stroke, chocking and other life threatening conditions.
Malaptop is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) with charity number SC043621 that was established in Stirling, Scotland in 2012 by Simon Cleary and Clare Ridler. It was established to sends laptop to schools in Malawi for children to learn IT skills that will allow them to carry out 21st Century jobs as Malawi develops. In 2012 Malaptop carried out a trial run and sent out one batch of laptops to a school in Mangochi, for more information about this trial run see our blog.
