Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are a UK based charity set up for the advancement of education of people resident within the boundaries of the Wechiau Hippo Sanctuary, Ghana, or surrounding areas by the provision of educational materials, funding of teachers and supplies and at the discretion of the trustees the provision of scholarships for individuals to extend their education and training. Please donate to support our cause. The Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary is situated in an area of Ghana of extreme poverty where the local leaders and community representatives manage the sanctuary on a community based natural resource based model. They need support to ensure the next generation are educated to continue their dual goal of biodiversity and poverty alleviation. Our scholarship programme assists young people to attend Senior High School and to continue their studies to gain a professional qualification in teaching or health care. We also provide one primary school with some much needed educational supplies. We could do much more if we had more funds. Charity No: 1113023 Find out more Website http://www.friendsofwechiau.org.uk

The 2nd annual Hertford Heath School PTA Big Run and Family Fun Day is coming! It will be taking place on Sunday 14th September 2014, 3-5pm. All the money raised is still going to the re-surfacing of the junior playground and expansion of the outside learning facilities. The pupils and any accompanying adults are invited to walk, run, hop or skip the one mile course around the village & woods. Each child will receive their own running number, running time, medal and commemorative certificate. Each class will enter as a team and rise to the Marathon Challenge to clock up the 26.2 Marathon Miles between them. Fancy dress will be encouraged and there will be a prize for the team classes who manage the Marathon. Last year, we had a fantastic day. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us - we raised just over £2,465. So please do get involved on the day or sponsor us via this site. Thank you!
Probably one of the most famous Amateur football clubs in the County due to some of it's more famous past youth team players going on to play at the higher levels of football in this country. Our goal is to provide a place for young kids to go and learn the beautiful game of football and to encourage them to play football in their spare time instead of just walking the streets getting bored. Our Football Club has some of the best facilities around with two full size pitches with under soil drainage along with two small sided pinches for our junior section, we also are in partnership with South Notts Collage and have first refusal on their brand new 3g pitch which gives us a safe place to train in the winter months. Our next major goal is to get floodlights for the ground along with getting the Car Park re-surfaced, next year is our 50th year and it would be a massive success story if we can get the flood lights installed during that year. Please help us achivece our get goal and be part of our amazing clubs history and future.
